
Football fans, Metro trains will operate an extra hour Thursday night to get you home after that last touchdown.
Metro said riders traveling from the Washington Redskins – New York Giants game at FedEx Field can enter the transit system at Morgan Boulevard and Largo Town Center stations.
From Largo Town Center, the last Silver Line train to Wiehle-Reston East station will leave at 12:11 a.m., and the last Blue Line train to Franconia-Springfield station will depart at 12:24 a.m.
From Morgan Boulevard, the last Silver Line train to Wiehle-Reston East will leave at 12:14 a.m.; the last Blue Line train to Franconia-Springfield departs at 12:27 a.m.
Operations on the other Metro lines will also be extended, to allow for rider connections.
For connections to the Orange Line to West Falls Church, Dunn Loring, or Vienna/Fairfax-GMU stations, riders can take the Silver Line and transfer at East Falls Church station. To catch the Orange Line towards New Carrollton, riders can take the Blue or Silver Line and transfer at Stadium-Armory station.

For Green or Yellow lines, riders can take the Blue or Silver line and transfer at L’Efant Plaza station. And for the Red Line, take the Blue or Silver lines and transfer at Metro Center station.
Entry gates to Metro stations other than Largo Town Center and Morgan Boulevard will close at their normal times, however riders will be able to exit all stations during the extended hour.
The release said the extra hour is being funded by the Redskins.
Metro bus service will end at normally scheduled times.
